However, it is usually not “temporary,” as most families live in subsidized housing for an average of 5 years. Interfaith provides homeless families transitional housing as an alternative.
We require that our families participate in empowering programs such as career development training, weekly financial coaching sessions, and life skills training. As a result, graduates save an average of $3500 and reduce an average of $1700 in debt upon exiting the program.
